I’ve heard multiple stories of people going in for warranty work and being turned down due to modifications like larger tires. I believe somebody on this forum posted a picture of their refusal letter.

If you show up to the dealer with 37s and a Mopar lift with a broken axle or tie rod or something, the dealership won’t fight you on the repair?

They would have to prove the larger wheels / lift were a direct cause of the failure to refuse work under warranty. Chassis components can be a struggle if you mod your Jeep in the warranty period, finding a lift friendly dealer in your area makes it much easier.

Thanks. I hope your right. I’ve seen other experiences which worries me. I’d like to do 37s with kings and something other than the low quality Mopar lift, but don’t want to create any issues with the dealerships.

If your gonna run 37s “properly” you will most likely have a higher quality lift than Mopar and will be doing some axle (gear) work as well. Remember you can damage chassis components running stock if you go off road, if a chassis component is damaged you will have a hard time getting it fixed / replaced under warranty if it is self inflicted anyways.

I think that since Fiat Chrysler is promoting the Rubicon being able to accept 35s right from the factory, that you should be ok with at least that large. Would be hard for them to refuse a claim when their own product engineers are running around at the vehicle premier bragging about and promoting how you can just throw 35s on there!

yes you can voind warranty on axle, transamission anything related to the tire, it just depends on how big of a ass they want to be when something breaks!

Everything my dealer install is covered “as new” , they won’t install it if they won’t cover it. They’re installing 37’s and of course it’ll be in writing... my 3rd built Jeep from this dealer and never an issue
