Would happily buy one if you decide to sell them - have the Borla muffler delete and looking for more space for equipment.

This may be the reason I need to delete the muffler

Any updates? Since you are in SoCal you can't do much else. This surely falls under the "essential" category.

I just got my new plasma table in last week. That’s at my second job and right now my main job is keeping me busy so I haven’t even unpackaged it yet. Hopefully first week in January I’ll make the first prototype. As I said earlier I’m a one man show so please have patience with me.

Hey, that was fast. Thanks. I'm one of those snowbirds over in Yuma. Mostly lamenting the fact we can't enter Cali for Jeeping right now. We usually hit the Picacho area at least once a week. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product and applaud your creativity.

My AFE muffler delete arrives tomorrow and I have been thinking of ideas on how to utilize the space besides fabricating a larger bin. A removable (weatherproof) box that sits under the factory bin would be useful, so would a water tank that could be pressurized. So many possibilities!

All joking aside, this is a great idea.

Find a generic aluminum tool box the depth you want, remove the lid and bolt on on from underneath using a bead of RTV to seal it. Even if it’s bigger than the opening it won’t matter.

you know what, I hadn’t considered bolting one on from underneath. I’m gonna take a look into that as it would make the box even bigger because I wouldn’t be limited to something that has to slip in from the top.

If it works out, you could take a cut off wheel and cut the lip from the original bin and use it to dress the original opening so there’s no sharp metal edge.

Bolt on from underneath is a thought. I'm going to have to see just how much room is down there without hitting the exhaust and turning the storage bin into an oven.

Well, I crawled down there and took a good long look. There is a lot of room. But I don't want to cut the flange off my OEM cubby and I deleted the muffler for a reason. It looks like the cubby could go down 4-6" without being too low. It will be interesting to see what OP comes up with.

I got the plasma table set up. Next step is to get my cardboard mock up entered into the CAD program and cut the first one out. That probably take another month.
