KZ is the new JB

I decided to draw the line at 3 months, so when the dealer said my ETA was now mid-April ... I cancelled and bought a JKU out-the-door for $30k even. I know scorn from Jl faithful will be hurled at me from the palace gates but the need for immediate gratification trumped the psychology of early adoption. Now I have to wait for perceived obsolescence to set in before I ever see a JL in my driveway.

Can't blame you. How much did you have to compromise on options and price?
Sorry, now I get it, you went for a JKU. That had been my plan all along, as I liked the JKs. Until I read about the JL, that is.

Anyway, the JK will not loose much value, so you may be able to switch to a JL going forward when you have more options and less wait.

Jeep might have an issue with the early models, there are people who had concerns with welds and others (search the forum), my best guess, and it is just a guess that Jeep has a problem with the early Jeeps and they are scrambling to check them all out.

I got a call from customer service and and I was told the dates gate in and gate out. I asked was it pulled back at any point since I was told it was built and ready for shipping in early February. Nothing like that happened. So I asked how difficult can it be to get a jeep out of gate. I told them all I hear from them is the dates getting pushed back...yesterday I was told 4/15-4/19 and today 4/19-4/23. It is getting escalated again. I told them I need a set delivery date as I am turning in my car on Friday and I needed my jeep yesterday. Let's see what happens.

I can't believe it. 2 months since D1 status, my dealer called and told me my JLU Rubi with dual tops has been loaded on a train today. Tracking shows it was "gate out" of Toledo last night. I sure hope this is true.

Ok, Jeepchat today. KZ for about 3 weeks-ish. I asked if it was at the factory, or being held somewhere else and she just said "it's in Ohio". I was polite, but just said it was tracking in Marion away from factory, how it could be there for 3 weeks unless it was waiting for something. She told me they wanted to call me back with an update. Called me back and said it is awaiting in the second shuttle process and it should be at my dealer within the next week.

Grain of salt, so we shall see!

Lol they are so full of sh!t. They have been telling me that for 2 weeks saying it will be at the dealer within a couple days. Today one of the ladies hung up on me. Basically saying the same canned response of it is on it's way contact the dealer. I went from excited to upset to just not giving a fudge. The service and lack of respect I have received makes me really sour on Jeep overall and I have owned over 10 in my life. If it were not for my 8 year old daughter who is super excited I would probably have cancelled my order by now.
