Has anyone experienced a significant drop off in wet traction while still having serviceable tread on their KO2s? I'm right at 40k miles.

Probably going to pull the trigger on a new set this week. Just curious if others have experienced this.

That tire is completely worn out.

Yes. Mine when they looked like that were terrible in the rain.
Had the feeling that'd be the feedback. I've never kept a set of KO2s to end of life. First jeep and normally had HTs on my other vehicles.

That’s a bit premature but not terrible. 50k is absolutely pushing it on these.

I've personally put 15k on them. Got them as 25k take offs. May have actually been a bit more than 25k from the PO I'm guessing.

No biggie. I'm totally fine with replacing them. Knew it was coming.

Mine could break loose even new in the wet. Not sure how much of that was factory PSI, manual transmission, open diff (when unlocked), or just freak circumstances of my commute. I had several hill starts and my biggest offender was changing from 1st to 2nd during a left turn up a hill. Low tail weight probably influenced it too.
I found KM3’s to hold on better in the wet.

I've heard KO2s can be a bit slippery when wet, and mine were just OK until they went precipitously downhill.

I have 315s on my F150 with about 33k miles on them, 40% or so tread depth left. Lately they have been slippery on wet roads and super easy to spin on dry roads, even at a roll. I had a set on a Super Duty and got 55k miles out of them, but that truck was heavy enough to keep the tire spin at a minimum.

I got Falken Wildpeak at3w’s. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good AT tire! Great in wet weather! Also some of the deepest tread depth for AT tires out there. 👍
I'll just switch to a set of these. Haha. Warming up my 3 year old to working on classic cars and Jeeps with me.

Exactly what I did on my F150. Got about 40k on KO2s & love the look but had no wet traction at all. Wildpeaks have been a huge improvement in ride and traction with probably near 20k on them.

My KO2s sucked in wet weather even when they were new. Just the slightest bit of standing water and I would start to hydroplane. Not sure I would choose them if I went back to ATs.
