Have had an awful experience with Jeep thus far. Can't get anyone from Jeep cares or corporate to get back to me.

Does anyone have contact info or something other than the toll free line?
I would direct message Jeep Cares through this forum. They seem to be pretty responsive thru that method.

I have 2018 JL Sahara Unlimited and just yesterday received my vehicle back from the dealersip. It spent a little over 5 weeks there for the exact same problem everyone else here has experienced. Driving it home and around town i didnt notice the clunking noise anymore but i will continue to monitor it. According to the service report, the replacement parts number ended in "AA". Does this mean that i will have to go through all this again potentially? For the purpose of having my issue documented, i will PM @JeepCares and let them know what has taken place.

I was never feeling compelled to look into this forum oor others to see if others had been experiencing the same thing. My thoughts are that my Jepe only had 11k miles on it when i first detected the issue, surely this is an isolated case. When i finally looked into it last night and there was a 33 page thread that was full of anger and discontent towards Jeep and what has clearly become out of hand i was blown away.

This is the first Jeep I've ever owned. Hopefully not my last...

Well shucks! My Jeep's rear end has a rotational knocking noise like most of you here have described. I have the M220 limited slip rear. Low speed around 20 mph or slower with the foot off the gas. Made an appointment for this Thursday so my dealer can look into it.

I bought my 18 Jeep JLU Sport a little over a year ago from Lou Fusz Jeep in O'Fallon MO. Mine has been making what the wife and I call a knocking noise that seems to be coming from the rear, the same as most with the problem, while coasting 10-25 ish MPH. We started noticing it at around 5k miles. Mine had a 2 1/2" RC suspension lift and 35" tires when we started noticing it. I have since upgraded and added a 1 1/4" body lift and went up to 38" tires and obviously the problem still exist. Our Jeep currently just rolled over to 8k miles and I'm wandering if I've screwed myself from getting this problem fixed under warranty. We baby our Jeep. I also notice when I put it in reverse it makes a "clunk" sound. which has always existed... Lou Fusz has always been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with but just curious if anyone else is in my shoes as far as lift and tire size is concerned with this problem before I contact them?

Took mine to the dealer yesterday and demonstrated the noise to a Tech and the Shop Manager. Their going to keep it for a few days. They were not concerned with my lift or 35ā€ tires. Iā€™ll post up when I hear back from them.

At least they appear to be reasonable. Amazing some dealers know that itā€™s not aftermarket stuff and others donā€™t care. And fca is working on the issue. Seems they should all know.

So Jeep Cares, what are they doing at the factory to CURE THE PROBLEM for the 2020 models???
Please answer, we all want to know what has been found because you and all Wrangler owners know and or are going to know about this huge issue.

Are you making the 2020ā€™s with the same parts in the front and rear ends?
The newer heavier duty axle shafts and bearing have a PLASTIC carrier now...is this correct?!?!?!!!?

What is the answer to all of this..or are we all going to hear nothing but crickets from JEEP?

Itā€™s been proven this is not a select few problem now...inferior parts are a proven culprit!!

What is happening, are you just replacing the same parts without any fix? I mean come on donā€™t be replacing the inferior parts with just the same inferior parts build a stronger rear end with all the components stronger gear material carriers, bearings all of it...if Dana is making junk move on to Dynatrac. Danaā€™s bigger and better is proving to just be crap. We are paying a huge price for these vehicles for what they are so build them like they should be!!!

So whatā€™s FIX instead of ā€œWeā€™re sorry for you troubles...ā€

My 2018 Sport S with the limited slip diff clunks when decellerating also. I've been monitoring this thread hoping a recall or tsb would pop up. Haven't taken to dealer yet. I have approx 25,000 miles. 315/70/17 tires with 2.5 lift.

Had nothing to do with the tires. Take it in for Warranty and let them fix their known problem BEFORE your 36 miles gets closer. Until there is a proper fix they are going to throw the same problematic parts at it. Get it documented NOW!!

My dealer called today and told me the rear drive shaft is out of specs and have one on order. Inbound around the 13th this month. They are still collecting information and communicating with the manufacturer about the noise in the rear differential. Very happy with they way they are proceeding. Iā€™ll update when we get further down the way.

Wow, just stumbled across this thread. How long have people had their jeeps before this issue has become apparent? I have a Sport with the LSD and am at about 2k miles. Also I was looking over the article on the main page with the TSB list and didnā€™t see one for this yet. Thanks.
