I'm happy with the cutoff. I'm also not super picky about things like that though. I do notice the light pattern if it's hitting something's ng close, but it's fine for my tastes. I haven't been flashed at all yet. I also have a base model with no lift, so I'm not too high up. I didn't have to adjust at all. I got them on the first try I think. I tightened them until I felt real tension from the springs and stopped.

So you tightened them down flush (meaning full spring compression)?

What is your opinion on the cutoff with the round variant. Are you getting flashed a lot when driving. Did you have to adjust your's at all. I Have the same variant and just wondering what others think of it. The cross variant seems to throw way better light pattern than the round variant based on the pictures I have seen.

Ver 3 has almost perfect cutoff, ver 2 is OK. Thats from my personal experience. Ver1 has perfect cutoff according to other people from this thread.

Like I aimed mine from 25ft away and it was all soft lines. No tight cutoffs.

I have a manual JL, I just installed version one of these lights. How do you get only the halos to be on?

No halo on this. Just a cross a my DLR and it is connected to tap fuse #57

Nope, I looked and when I started to see the spring compress I stopped. Then we aimed it at the wall. Went another 1/4 turn on each screw and was happy with the level.

I also noticed that while I have just my DRL running all four lights are on (left and right circle and the top and bottom line lights). Are my lights messed up?

Yes you can, as long you tap it on #57. It will be your drl

The picture with all the lights on is what comes one when DRL are on. The picture with top and bottom plus cross are on is the nights. This can’t be right.

I know mine don’t match the picture you posted. My drl should just be the cross and side marker. But it is not all four lights plus the cross lights are in during the day

Isn't there a separate DRL wire? Connect to an Aux switch or directly to the fuse box.
