Has anyone seen any examples they could point me towards of someone separating out the lights from the gravity bar? I want to have a couple ambers on a separate switch and maybe tie them into two amber fogs down the road.

Can I just grab the KC two light wiring kit and pull two off the harness?

Looking forward to the install, waiting on the mounting

Hi Rich,

I can send you a wiring diagram if you let me know what lights you want to separate. I can draw something up for you.

But if you want to run Amber Covers like mine in the picture above (lights 2 and 7 on the bar), you can turn ON the entire bar and leave the Blackout Covers on. In this picture, I have the full 8 light bar turned ON up top. I had them ON all day as one switch (all 8 lights, but you can only see the 2 Amber Lights), and the A-Pillar is on another switch. I run my Amber Covers all of the time and don't remove the Blackout Covers, but all 8 lights are actually ON. They don't get hot enough to melt or damage the Blackout Covers. Then when I want the full white light, I remove all 8 of the covers, Amber and Blackout Covers.

Thanks a bunch, I guess I'll have to give it some thought. I hadn't really thought about 'which two' lights to amber and wire independently and will probably need to wait till I install and play around with them

Installed KC Daylighters on Mopar mounts. I like the old school look of the Daylighters, and I am thinking that the warmer color light and low mounting position should be pretty good for foggy and dusty conditions.

Added some KC a-pillar light brackets and a pair of Gravity LED Pro6 Wide-40 lights to the a-pillar this evening. Can’t wait to see how well they work at night.

Ok I was wanting rock lights. I was going to get the cyclones in white.
My daughter who likes to keep me “cool” says I need to get other KC ones that change color. She thinks they need to be red to match Jeep “when I want to flex” lol.
then I can make them white on the trail.
Any one have an opinion on one over the other?

If it were me, I would say run the Cyclones in either Clear (White) or Amber. If you want to change colors on the fly, you can run the C-Series RGB LED Rock Lights. Both are good, I am just personally a fan of the cyclones.

I know you kind of answered this question for me already. But I need more clarity. I thought I had everything correct, but I have been told I am going to burn up my wiring. I do not understand wiring at all. My friend helped me wire it but I do not think it was done right now. I need a wiring for dummies explanation haha.

I have the factory aux switches. I have the gravity pro6 light bar hooked to Aux 1 40amp. I sliced up the wiring they sent me.

The green wire is hooked up to the aux 1 wire. The yellow is hooked up to the battery. The white is the wire hooked the light bar and I have the black to ground. It all runs through that relay that came with the light bar from KC. I was told to add in an inline 5amp in between the green wire and the aux 1 wire to fix the potential of the wires burning up. I was also told I could get rid of the relay from KC and take the black to ground and the white to the aux 1 wire but with an inline fuse of what ever that light bar specs at (which is usually 30amp for a light bar they said).

For my 2 flex lights on the a pillars, I wired those up to aux 2 40amp. I have no additional relays on those. Should I switch those to the aux 3 15amp? Do I need to add anything else to make it work?

Thanks!

I have my Slimlite LED's just to the Aux 3 wire and ground. No relay or fuse.
