I went low key and just did their cubes on the cowls. Hafta wait until dark to aim them.

@vhfan5150,
I was just noticing that on your last pic that cube light mounting bolt looks precariously close to the paint right under it. I was worried when I did mine about the vibrating and bouncing around while off-roading that if that mounting bolt is close enough to the paint it could end up over time digging into that pain and messing it up. might consider some kind of small buffer or cover so if it does repeatedly touch the cowl, it won't hurt that paint. I cut a tiny piece of that Flextape and put it directly under the bottom of that mounting bolt, just in case. Just my .02.

I can't stand the look of the rectangular light bars, but from the first time I saw the Pro6 light bar I knew it was going on my Jeep.
This past weekend I installed the light bar- super easy install, and I love the look. In the future, I'll be swapping out my Auxbeam lights to Pro6 just to keep everything consistent looking.
I also installed two KC Cyclone lights for under-hood illumination.

I have to mention the packaging for the light bar components was simply fascinating. Whatever engineer designed the packaging deserves a raise. I know it's nerdy, but the structures of that cardboard packaging was pure art!

If you guys are looking for a similar A-Pillar light tap that sits up higher, KC has this one. Gives you a good amount of room underneath for the bolt. No risk of bolt causing paint damage. KC A-Pillar Light Mount Brackets for JL & JT - #7318

Pete @Varilux , your Jeep looks great! Looks like a tank. Do you still have the bar straight, or did you experiment with curving it? I curved mine between 2/3 and 6/7. Really spreads out the light.

Added some KC LED Slimlites to the bumper hoop. Turned out better than I expected.

It came out looking great! I like all of the red accent. Have you tested them out at night yet?

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with how the build has been coming along...

I read through the instructions on how to curve the bar... However, looking back and forth between the bar and the instructions, it seemed to me that curving the bar would a.) reduce it's overall length (it would have to, I would think), and b.) cause the middle lights to sit further from windshield. So in the end I just mounted them straight. However, the pre-tensioning we did to install the bump stop does give the bar a very slight curve, and the light seems to spread out well for how I'll use the lights. We have a cabin up in Broken Bow, OK, and we do a lot of night driving on the US Forestry logging roads. The spread of the beams will easily cover the width of the gravel roads- as well as some of the immediate forest on either side (amazing how deer will sometimes wait until the last possible second before jumping right in front of a vehicle).

I was looking at that too. The bracket seems pretty secure for the time being, but a little protection will offer some peace of mind. Also, I think I'd rather have something black on there covering the silver. I may get some rubber screw bumpers to slide over the bolt end. Looks like Rockler has a set of 4 for $3... But I hate going in that store due to wanting everything in there.

That looks like a good option if I don't like the bumpers mentioned above. Thanks for the link!

Great looking setup. I was going to run a Rigid rectangular light bar and A-pillar square lights but am rethinking this now. I'm really thinking about going this route. I'm just curious how much of your view is obstructed with the A-pillar lights?
