I'd beware of K&N filters since most test results out there are showing very poor filtration performance (96-97%) which is absolutely abysmal and border-lining dangerous for your engine.

I bought a K&N filter but after reading that it is worse for the engine I put the mopar paper filter back in. Only used the K&N for a week.

I am in extremely dusty environments, so I tend to stick with paper filters, thought there are some performance variants of paper as well. So far I haven't looked into it for my new Wrangler.
