So I ordered my Willys june 12. I sold my truck back to the dealership to clear up things so I could lease the jeep. The jeep arrived on 7/7. I go down to pick it up, and was informed as I was doing the paperwork that the dealership was sold on 7/1. The new owners have to sign contracts with the leasing companies, and had not done it. It seemed like they would have things cleared up the next day, so I finished the paperwork, gave them the agreed upon money, and got my lease payment figured out. So anyways, that was Thursday. So Friday rolled around, and I was told it would be Monday or Tuesday. So Monday came, and I was told Thursday (today). Today I was emailed that the contracts are still not signed. One week since I did the paperwork. The attitude seems to be if you don't like the deal, don't buy it. We will sell it to someone. Had I known jeep dealers have that mentality, I don't think I would have wasted my time. At least the Chevy dealership goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Jeep dealers act like they have a product that sells it's self, so we do not need to worry about customer service.

Well ... you jumped from a specific dealer not getting things done to 'jeep dealers' across the board. I will grant you that some of them leave much to be desired ... but c'mon. That's a very wide brush you are sloppin' with.

I can think of a few Chevy dealers that could be dumped into a black hole, never to be seen again, and that wouldn't bother me.

I'd just be more careful on picking a dealer. I mean, like, since you more or less opened it up.

I am not blaming Jeep as a whole. Just my experiences with the three dealerships in my area. They are all the same. They act like they sell a product that sells themselves, so no real neeed to bend over backwards. There is a few bad Chevy dealers too. I am not saying there is not. Just the one I deal with is great. I decided to jump ship because of product, and so far, there is no customer satisfaction. Nothing. I was even told that with the new owners came a $100 higher adminstration fee over the agreed one when I ordered the jeep. I asked if they were going to honor the original price, and was told they would not. My jeep that I ordered is sitting at the dealer, and I can't take delivery because people are sitting on their hands. You would think something as big as having a ability to lease vehicles would be kind of of a big deal, but as long as your selling used, no need to concern yourself with the new buyer/leaser.

Hey go buy a chevy then they are top notch vehicle's.
I think everyone is missing my point. This is not about Chevy or Jeep. This is about the attitudes of the dealers in my area, and the lack of concern for taking care of the customer. It is like they have zero interest in any type of customer satisfaction. The chevy dealership I have always used would have found a way to put me in the vehicle. I have three jeep dealers in my area. All three exabit the same attitude, and the closest dealer dropped a 3k second sticker to all wranglers, and gladiators, so they were out before they got started.

That's the sentence that made it sound like you were focused more on brand than on dealer.

The dealer sounds really crappy thought. I agree with that.

Definitely sounds like a specific dealer issue. I'd post a review on google/yelp and write to the BBB if they don't clear it up soon.

Nope. I am totally focused on the dealers themselves. Three jeep dealers with bad attitudes, and one chevrolet dealer with a "what can we do for you" attitude.
I have paid all monies needed, filled out paperwork, switched insurance, and even started ordering parts after I had been told I would have the jeep the next day. Now we are a week into this, and I still have no jeep, and at this point I will have to make my first payment in three weeks. I was expressing my experiences with dealers in my area.

I wonder what would have happened if you bought, instead of leased?

I wondered the same thing. But buying is out of the question as the payment would be $100 more per month.

Honestly, Jeeps do sell themselves right now. A lot of vehicles do.

2 years ago, when I bought mine, they were no haggle below invoice and you could beat them down more. In March 2020, they had 120+Jerep Wranglers on the lot for sale. Right now they havee 34. This is a high volume dealer. Today, Ther start at full retail

Its a seller's market, not a buyer's.
