June lake / mammoth area dispersed camping

Planning a family trip July 18th week, 7 days, and looking for primitive camping spots in the June lake / mammoth area. I’ve never been up there and been doing some research. If anyone’s been up that way and knows a few spots off the beaten path and doesn’t mind sharing. Will be traveling with the entire fam bam so looking for a good spot the first day or two to base camp and explore them who knows where we’ll end up
