JT Wrangler Pickup Roof Sketch Based on Insider Input

Here's a sketch of the 2019 JT Wrangler Pickup's roof design which was drawn based on input from insiders, according to an Allpar member.

If accurate, the Wrangler pickup truck will feature removable panels but have a permanent and fixed roof bar structure in order to maintain the structural integrity needed to meet current crash standards.

It remains to be seen whether the roof design of the 2018 JL Wrangler will feature a similar design.

Allpar member “Ruptured Duck” drew this diagram of the "JT" - the forthcoming Wrangler-based pickup truck. His drawing had no removable roof, just panels that can be taken out, based on input from insiders.

Sources claim that the drawing is fairly accurate, particularly in the representation of the panels. The roof can’t be fully removable and maintain crash standards, or, for that matter, body integrity. Ironically, having permanent roof bars should mean lower weight since less body reinforcement is needed.
