JT Gladiator bed as JLU trailer

Hello! I know this my first post here. I own a 2019 JLU Moab. Love it! I need a trailer though. I was going along a path of building my own based on M416 design, but then I noticed a picture of a trailer made from a Gladiator bed. I need to figure out how to source a bed from a junkyard or in worst case a dealer as new parts? will they even sell an entire bed w lights for a reasonable price? Any ideas or tips on how I can find one?

car-part.com search salvage yards near you. Personally I think the wheel well is to far forward to make an attractive trailer, without an excessively LONG tongue.

agreed, and thought the same but I have some addition plans for the front end to even out the proportions.

Yup. Have another guy who just picked up one that I sent him info on.

I found mine at a place that makes flatbeds for hunting and ranch rigs. Saw a post of a Gladiator that made into a flatbed. I was on their doorstep the next morning asking about the bed. I got very lucky and gound it locally.

My build is waiting on funds at the moment. But plenty of ideas and thoughts. Feel free to reach out. New From Mopar will come bare metal with no fixtures at all. Last time I checked....4,000 bucks.

I believe I have solved my off road utility trailer challenges. Here is the design/solution I've cooked up (which is a work in process). I'm planning on ordering parts this spring so I can begin the build after my lift kit, wheels/tires are done on the 19Moab. Documenting here so I don't lose it, and to share my research with the community.

I am currently using a Curt Echo Bluetooth controller and have not had any issues. I will probably be installing the Mopar brake controller in both Wranglers but Redarc and Curt Spectrum are great as well.
