I finally got a chance to use Jscan and program my low tire pressure light. It's pretty crazy that we at the dealership with our factory scan tool don't even have the ability to change this lol

When I had my 2018 Power Wagon tire size reprogrammed by the dealer, I had to take them printed instructions to follow.

Just used JScan for the first time (new 2024) to do the same thing. Crazy how much easier it is to use than the Tazer — just select the max tire pressure from a drop down menu on the phone app and hit the go button — as opposed to the Tazer’s nonsensical use of the steering wheel buttons and rebooting multiple times, waiting between each reboot, then having to do it all over again because it didn’t take.

It’s strange there’s no leeway in the UConnect settings to adjust both. Jeep has to know that 37 psi is not ideal for most non-factory tires JL owners upgrade to. Even with the stock XR 315/70/17, 30-32 psi is a more ideal pressure. At interstate speeds, 37 psi (which heats up to 40-42 psi) leaves not enough of the tire in contact with the road, and the JL gets blown off track by the wind too easily.

And unfortunately that particular tool is not recommended by JSCAN for use with a JL or JT.

Suggest anyone that wants to use JSCAN, to buy/use an offering recommended by JSCAN for use with a JL. You don't just want a tool that someone says works..

I was told by the lead guy at JSCAN that they themselves use / prefer to use, an OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner. They said this offering can handle all that JSCAN could ask of it and that it does so in a fast manner lets say. Not so with some others...

Undoubtedly, the next best unit to use with a JL/JT is the vLinker MC+ which is also recommended by JSCAN.
