Mine's in the shop right now getting the batteries replaced as well. About 16 months in.

On the plus side, my rental for the day is a Gladiator!

Both batteries died after 21 months. Dealer replaced under warranty. They say it is normal in Florida because of the heat. Funny that not other cars, trucks or vehicles of mine have ever had this problem in Florida.

Is it possible to check voltage for a heads up on battery health, or everything shows as fine til one day "click" and stranded? 14 months is ridic

On my Jeep everything showed up fine till it just was dead one day.

In Arizona that is how it goes...you're 100% ok, until you're not. The catch now is that you have 2 batteries...but don't be fooled when one is called the "auxilliary" battery. I thought it was only needed for ESS and accessories...but you're dead in the water without it. I had to get towed. Luckily both the main and aux got replaced under warranty. Same for many others with JL's.
