When I had 35x12.5's on stock wheels(no spacers) w/no lift they rubbed the frame a little and the inner fenders a lot while disconnected and offroading. The pic shows the spot on the frame where it rubbed, no tire damage from any of the rubbing.

I always found it odd how on a Rubicon a 37" tire needs 2" longer bump stops, but a 35" tire is OK with stock bump stops (according to what I've read on this forum, haven't actually tried). A 37" tire has 2" more radius than a 33", and a 35" has 1" more radius... so it would be logical if the 35" tire required 1" longer bump stops.

Just making sure it wasn’t a shorter axle Sahara or Sport. Sometimes threads here get “all over the place” on what works and what doesn’t.

Update to this thread I started, the 35’s fit and don’t rub.

I have a 2021 Rubicon that is bone stock, aside of 35’s (315/70/17). Stock Rubicon wheels, no spacers.

I off road this jeep. I spent the day yesterday climbing all sorts of obstacles and had it at full flex both front and rear multiple times. ZERO rubbing. With 35’s and stock, it has been to Soldier Pass Trail, Broken Arrow Trail, Forest Road 361 from Highway 260 to Cherry Creek Road, multiple parts of 9513, and on all of these trails, no rubbing. I also do not baby this Jeep. I really do ride it hard.

It did rub one time however, the stock tires would have probably rubbed as well. I was coming onto a deep rutted trail from a 45° angle, and about 4’ above the trail. I was going about 12 mph. Basically, I bombed the jeep, off camber, onto a very shitty trail. This caused the slightest rub. I am certain the bump stops were smashed pretty hard when this happened.

Before putting these tires on, I researched this for days. I have come to the conclusion that some rub, and some don’t.

315/70/17 BFG K02. I’ve used these multiple times on multiple vehicles. I’m quite happy with them.

I put 35" BFG KM3's (They measure at 34") and the DayStar 1.5 leveling kit under the front and did some trails this weeked. At full flex and turned to full lock I could not get it to rub. I have the spacers just in case but at this time I think I am OK

Just wanted to add my experience. Goodyear Wrangler Duratract 35x12.5R17 (34.8" real life) on stock Rubi rims at around 20psi. Just BARELY kissing the fender liner at full flex. No lift.
