JLUR - Inner Fender question?

Has anyone removed the plastic inner fender liner yet? Is it tied into the outer fender or is it removable?

I'm looking at a couple of brands of metal inner fenders and need to know if the stock inners can be removed without removing or destroying the stock fenders.

I'm looking at DV8's and JCR Offroad, any suggestions?

Did you ever figure this out? I know the rears can come out but the front inner liners support the DRL and blinks. I want to remove them for more clearance but dont want to loss the DRL

I was told that they can be removed and replaced with aftermarket inner liners, but I haven't done it. I'm not concerned about the DRL's as much as I am with how the fender wheel well will look with the holes from the plastic rivets removed. I need to see one before I actually do it.
