JLUR electric window rubbing noise on roll up and roll down

Bought my JLUR in April, Have approximately 7500 miles. Over the course of the past two weeks my driver and passenger front windows have developed a squeak when they roll up or down. It sounds like a window from an old car and is steadily getting worse. The functionality is fine. No scraping on the glass. The heat we have had here in So Cal has been blasting over 100 so it may have something to do with it but wondering if anyone else is experiencing this noise?

My JLUS started doing this a week ago:

• Passenger side only
• Only in the down direction
• Happens once the window is about 50% of the way down

Driver's side doesn't make any noise and the up direction of the passenger side is fine. Mine sounds like worn rubber on glass, dull squeak.

For me its a confirmed temp thing. At 73 degrees...no issue either side. At 95 with passenger side facing the sun... just the passenger side. By mid day and over 100...both sides started doing it again. But yes...the noise does start about 50% of the way down.

Ya...I did visit the dealer about this. My luck the day I went in the temp never got about 76F so no squeak. Going to take a recording when the temp gets really hot...sounds gets really bad.

I had this problem. They found a torn seal I think. They replaced it with no problem - covered by warranty.

Would you mine letting me know the part that was torn. Part Number? My dealer is difficult to deal with sometimes and a part number I can get them going in the right direction.

I know this is an old thread, but I just started having the same issue. Only the drivers door right now. Both of you resolved the problem with a new seal?
