JLUR bumpers

about to place an order and after all the reading I am now confused. Doesn’t the rubicon come with a steel front bumper? What does the steel bumper option give me? A steel rear as well? What benefit would this option give me?

The Rubicon had the plastic bumpers as standard. Not a big fan of the plastic bumpers that mine came with. The front steel has removable end caps as well as winch mounting capability. Don't have much of an opinion on the rear other than they plate is secured to the plastic rear bumper by 2 self tapping screws through the plastic cover (very weak).

I plan on upgrading to the factory steel front (eventually) if any become available for a reasonable price.

Unless you're planning to upgrade to after market bumpers (and there are a lot of them out there) I'd go oem steel bumpers given the choice.

Thanks! That is a nice Jeep. It sounds like I will go with metal and if I decide to change to after market there might be people interested in my metal
