Wanted to report on how my Jeep has been on the daily commute (no offroad, yet). The jeep is a 2021 JLU Willys with the 3.6, jks 2.5in lift with 38x12.50x17 Nitto ridge grapplers.
Pros:
- 8th gear is back 100%
- Gas mileage isn't bad. Getting around 15-18 mpg for around town
- Pep is back. It acts like how it did brand new with the 3.73 gearing and 32in firestone mud tires
- Doesn't gear hunt like it did with the 35s and old gear on the highway. I live in Texas and the wind here sucks, so highway driving can be a chore
Still breaking in the gears so can't be going to fast on the highway but so far, well worth making the move to 4.88.
