JLU Willy’s - Remote Proximity Availability

Good evening all,

Long time lurker about to become a first time Wrangler owner. Have been looking at builds for a while and finally decided to pull the plug on a factory order hydro blue Willy’s.
Wife wants it loaded, and I have been wanting the remote proximity as I got spoiled with my BMW.

Tried to build the Willy’s with remote proximity included, and the website is forcing us to add Half doors. Reached to multiple dealerships and one of them told us it is now required by Jeep to order half-door group if you want remote proximity.

Is this a recent change? Thought it was only a glitch on the website.

The website is not upto date & the prior order guides required half door, so that is not a glitch. However the most recent order guide released this month removed that restriction, so you should be able order the remote keyless proximity entry.

BTW At the beginning of the year Jeeps didn’t allow remote proximity keyless entry on any sport model except for the 80th.

Just got a quote from the dealer, told me he couldn't add Remote Prox without half doors...
