Jeep Wrangler JL JLU SPORT S suspension options for a true (no more than 2in lift)? IMG_1620

Alrighty so I've searched and researched and read until my eyes are bleeding over the last month. Here's the deal: Jeep is my daily. I'm on stock sport s suspension w/ Method 701's and 33's + Spare is removed. What I'm looking for more than anything is a better on road ride and a slight lift would be cool (no more than 2in over sport height). I will probably upgrade to a 35in tire at some point once I do a lift as well, but no plans on upgrading my bumpers or putting the spare back on.

- I was totally set on the Dynatrac Endurosport 2in as everything I've read sounds like this is the ride I'm looking for. HOWEVER, it's going to lift my Sport way too much from what I've read and pics I've seen on Sports. Even w/ 35's it looks too high on a Sport from what I have seen. Rubi's w steel bumpers etc it's perfect w/ 35 or 37s.

- I don't want a spacer lift. Again, looking for a better ride.

Leads me to essentially a dead end. So looking for advice/help. One thing I'm thinking about is going stock Rubi JLU springs and Fox 2.0 shocks with upgraded Mopar LCA's. Anyone done this? I'm thinking this will potentially get me to the minimal height I'm after on the sport but the shocks and LCA's might provide a better ride. No clue. Any experience, etc is much appreciated. TIA.

From everything I've read on the Rubi lift, that should net you about what you want depending on the donor springs, and general consensus is to use the Mopar LCA's.

Not sure about 35's without swapping to the higher Rubicon flares.

I have dynatrac coils. I am right at 3” of lift and with 295/75r17s that measure 33.25 mounted I think it looks pretty good. 35’s would be perfect clearance wise. The ride is definitely better than stock and I am just using rubi shocks with extensions. Only other add ons are rock Krawler disco’s and Core4x4 front track bar. Pics are next to a rubi with 35s and the ass end of a Sahara and a stock rubi

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Yeah, I think a Rubi takeoff set is the way to go, especially if you can find the tallest sets from a 4dr, steel bumper, hardtop, tow pkg.

I'd just run it as is and determine if you want to upgrade the shocks at a later date.

I've been happy w/ my Rubi set and the ride is pretty good overall, probably get a new shock set after another 20k miles. I have the longer Mopar LCAs and I highly recommend getting them if you go that route. I also have a high fender kit so running my yet to be mounted 35s won't be a problem.

Pretty much what you said and whateveryone else said, rubi stuff. The mopar lowers are a good idea and so are the fox shocks. Or any cheap shock. The metalcloaks are a good bang for the buck, pretty supple. Performance wise fox is better though by far, but could be stiffer

JLU Rubi springs and JT Rubi fox shocks. Not too high and great ride. Total price $350 plus longer mopar control arms and I can sell JLU Rubi shocks and JT Rubi springs.

Have a setup of Rubi shocks and springs coming (2nd highest spring part number) and new mopar extended front LCA’s. We shall see how it rides and the lift I get.

Synergy makes 1” springs but it’s 1” over the height of a Rubicon they say.

This is 33’s on rubicon suspension in a sport. For 35’s I’m gonna need 2” spacer to clear the sport fenders or a complete 3.5” lift to replace the rubicon suspension OR keep the rubicon suspension and get higher fenders

Another vote for Rubicon parts. They feel more 'sporty' if that makes sense. The only problem is after swapping suspension, everything I touched keeps coming loose...

I'd go with the higher fenders, would look good on your ride :)

The only issue is Painted Rubicon Fenders $1k vs decent lift kit $1k
1k vs 1k 🤷‍♂️

I do plan on having steel bumpers eventually one day and a winch, so maybe lift would be more ideal
