Pulling the trigger on a JLU Sahara this weekend and dont see any here with stock wheels on 35s with 2in lift. I can't afford to run out and buy the desired setup, so I'd like to see pics of Saharas on stock wheels/35s/2in lift.

If there's already a thread, please point me in that direction. I just haven't found it.

TIA

Unfortunately, as you’ve already seen, most threads and pics are of Rubicons and Sports, both of which have 17” wheels, so that is of little help. For some reason people comment about 17” wheels often when people specifically ask about 18”.

285/75/18 measures 34.8 x 11.2. That width is a little over an inch wider than stock. I would think with your lift that would work without spacers but much wider and you’d probably need spacers to not rub on turns.

I’m on 33” KM3 with aftermarket wheels but am not totally happy with how far the tires stick out and I still have my stock wheels, so I’m considering putting some 285/75/18 on the stock wheels and see how I like them.

Here are a couple of threads that might be useful. Good luck and congrats!

Here's my Sahara with factory 18" rims with 35 x 12.5 tire but with 2.5 suspension lift. I added the Rubicon hood since I couldn't find a Rubicon in Nacho.

That looks really great. You have wheel spacers?

No, but it needs them since I occasionally rub the frame. The factory rims are just temporary since I'm shopping for rims with the correct offset/backspacing. I'm still clueless on that whole thing.

Just bought a Sahara myself and like yours stance. Which lift did you get?

(I'm clueless about the offset thing to but work on an AFB so I have my pick of guys dying to explain it to me lol)

How did you get the hood? Take off or new+painted?

Sahara on stock wheels will definitely rub with 12.5" tires. This has nothing to do with lift.
The stock wheels will take ~11.5" tires (295) MAX. Beyond that tire width, when putting it on full turns, tires will rub on LCAs.

NONE- install at dealer, perfect smooth ride, lot of clearance with the Fox 2 inch lift
Once again, most of the case when people ask about rubbing, it ha nothing(or very limited) to do with lift, it’s due to amount of backspacing on the wheels that cause tire rubbing on front LCAs/tie rod. You need to turn your steering wheel to maximum rotation to one side, and hold it there(if you let go the steering wheel it will bounce backs), then have someone crawl underneath and look at clearance between tire and LCA, then craw under the other tire and check clearance between tie rod, it is from my experience that 12.5” tires (stock wheels) will rub on max turn.
