It absolutely makes a big difference. MostMost people who are putting on 35" without lift have the stock wheels. This is fine for driving but will rub when off roaring.
Would using an aftermarket wheel and playing with offset make a differnce (good or bad)?
You won’t rub with that setup. Many people use that similar setup with method 701s and no lift on 315’s.So. On a 17x8.5 wheel, on a jlur, what us targeted offset so no rubbing onysuspension or fender even when disconnected?
The wheels we are looking at are 0 offset (4.72").
Nope, but I have the stock plastic bumper. Doesn't rub at all.Did you have to move it around at all? My ko2 315/70/17 rubs the steel bumper when closing the tailgate.
I love them. They make slightly more sound than the KO2s, but not much more. I've driven on the highway with doors off and it's fine.Thanks. How do you like the tires? Are they noisy on the highway?
Thanks! No lift or spacers and no rubbing, but I live in a pretty flat area, so my offroading (mud, sand, ditches) hasn't really put it to the test.Awesome looking Jeep! Have you tried flexing it off road to see if it rubs any( no lift or spacers right)? Also, did you go with 35x12.5 or 315/70?
Oh, and they are 315/70Awesome looking Jeep! Have you tried flexing it off road to see if it rubs any( no lift or spacers right)? Also, did you go with 35x12.5 or 315/70?
So spacers would prevent rubbing on stock wheels? You won’t rub with that setup. Many people use that similar setup with method 701s and no lift on 315’s.
