Most people who are putting on 35" without lift have the stock wheels. This is fine for driving but will rub when off roaring.

Would using an aftermarket wheel and playing with offset make a differnce (good or bad)?

It absolutely makes a big difference. Most
Of those I’ve seen whom run a 4.75” backspacing or less will NOT rub off road when disconnected. Myself included.

So. On a 17x8.5 wheel, on a jlur, what us targeted offset so no rubbing onysuspension or fender even when disconnected?

The wheels we are looking at are 0 offset (4.72").

You won’t rub with that setup. Many people use that similar setup with method 701s and no lift on 315’s.

Anyone do 35s on a rubicon and install the recommended 2" bumpstops? How much was ride on and offroad affected?

Awesome looking Jeep! Have you tried flexing it off road to see if it rubs any( no lift or spacers right)? Also, did you go with 35x12.5 or 315/70?
Thanks! No lift or spacers and no rubbing, but I live in a pretty flat area, so my offroading (mud, sand, ditches) hasn't really put it to the test.

This thread needs more before pictures.

I know what a stock JLUR looks like, but I like to have side-by-side comparisons of the same vehicle in the same setting.

Not the exact angle but it’s the best side by side I have. I didn’t change anything other than rims and tires. OEM to 35” Ridge Grapplers.
