What load range are you guys getting for the 315/70's on the stock 7.5" rims?
Should I specifically get the load range E instead of C? Or is my thinking wrong?

I would expect the 7.5" rims to pull the edges of the 315mm tread up off the pavement slightly, and I would have to lower the air pressure to get the tread to lay flat on the road. Would the E load tires' stiffer sidewalls reduce flexing while cornering at lower tire pressures? Would this also soften up the ride closer to the C rated 285/70s?

Are my assumptions wrong? Should I still get a C load 315 tire on the stock rims? I don't want a really firm ride. I also don't want my tires rolling over going around a corner.

Thanks, all.

I went with the C rated tires to preserve ride quality. Running 34.5 psi on stock wheels to flatten tread. No signs of wear after 10k+ miles.

Looks great! I'm having a really hard time deciding on a wheel/tire size. I'm very much leaning towards this setup, 35x12.5R18. Maybe with a slight lift though.

Looking for jeep
Just had 35x12.50r17 ridge grapplers put on with black rhino chambers 0 offset. There’s actually a lot more room than I thought there would be!

This is exactly what I ordered! white with black fenders! ( How do you like the front camera?)

Can I get some side shots of the wheels/tires sticking out?!

I am thinking about 0 offset vs -12.

I love the front camera, use it everyday pulling into the garage and the tires stick out maybe 1 1/2 inch so just enough to give it a more aggressive stance.

This is one of the "35 no lift" threads I follow. I cry BS. I got Nitto 35x11.5 on the factory Rubicon rims. Took it to Windrock park, under any articulation the rear wheels rub the fender liners, and heard the front rub a few times too. So may look at a suspension puck lift, but apparently this group is a bunch of mall crawlers. :) Okay it just rubbed the liners, it wasn't horrible, but to me that means its not good. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for sharing this. I also had been following this thread and others and believed that the Nitto 35x11.5s would be A-OK with my Rubicon stock suspension and wheels for off-road use. This changes things...

Can anybody comment on these bump stops? This is probably going to be my holdover until I get a lift: https://teraflex.com/shop_items/jl-jlu-bump-stop-strike-pad-shim-kit-front-rear?vehicle=JL Wrangler

Update we installed some 3/4 inch bumpstops and they work perfectly at full stuff!
That's why I made this video to show how even 315s touch at full stuff...have to have bumpstops for tough wheeling. Also you are running Nittos which are taller than every other 35 or 315 out there so that exacerbates the issue! Sorry for your experience man!

I ran 315's on stock wheels for awhile, the rub got me too. I went with a 1.5" Teraflex kit and longer Fox shocks to stop it. I think this is very close to what Jeep is doing with the new Extreme Recon package as well.

The 315’s are fine for the street but for wheeling, I think it needs a little boost.

I have been running cooper 315 on stock suspension for a while. No issues at all. Then I went rock crawling. After high centering I decided that it was time to get the lift. Currently the jeep is in the shop getting the MC GC 3.5. I will post pictures when completed.
