i've heard that at 1.5" you may have to do some trimming of your original studs. was this not your experience?
with my stock wheels I didn't have to cut the studs because the stock wheels have recesses in the back. With aftermarket wheels that have a completely flat mounting flange the studs would need cut down.

Just put 35's on my stock wheels on my non-lifted 2018 Rubicon JL two door. 35x12.5/17 BFG KO 2's. Haven't had it off road yet, so no feedback on any rubbing at full tilt (hope to get the Mopar lift on before I test that anyway). Doesn't rub at full lock on pavement. Spare fits perfect (steel bumper), with just slight rub when tailgate close- actually helps support the tire.

Got black rhino overland wheels 9.5 wide, 4.5" Backspacing -18 offset with 315 nitto ridge grapplers. Sticks out about 1.5 - 2” outside the fenders.

Man, after seeing all these pics, I am SUPER excited to get my 35s tomorrow! Hopefully, I can figure out how to upload some pics.

It is hard to tell in most pictures so I just want to clarify, what is the largest tire I can run on the stock JLUR wheels that fit under the factory fenders? Pennsylvania requires the fender to cover the tire so I am trying to find out what will work for width. Thanks!

I have not seen anywhere in pa that the tires within the fender is enforced. I have had trucks with wheels that stick 2” to 3” past the fender for probably the last 13 years. Never once did I get pulled over or questioned during inspection.

So 35x12.5x17 on stock Rubicon wheels will practically be exactly even with the edge of the fenders.

I was pulled over once before in PA with my JKU on 35s, but that was with basically no fenders on at the time. However I had issues with inspections before running spacers and wider tires and could not find a place to pass me without swapping on a buddy's wheels with smaller tires. Not looking to do that again. But thank you for the answer and picture.

And nice Charger btw. I traded in my Octane Red Scat for my JLUR.

Yea running no fenders I can see getting pulled over. Spacers too for inspection. I will most likely have to take mine off for inspection

I also just got a 2 door JL Rubicon with the steel bumpers. I was thinking about putting 35's on it except in doesn't look like there is enough room between the stock 33"ish spare tire and the bumper. But, yours is fitting without any kind of modification?

You need to take into account what wheel you’ll be using. Are you planning to run stock wheels or aftermarket wheels with more backspacing?
