With my 2020 JLURD I am getting a solid 25 mpg. The jeep is fully modified with 3.5 inch lift, 35 inch Cooper MT's, winch, fully underarmor. Basically a brick. By reducing my speed to around 65 or so I was able to go from 20 mpg to what I am getting now. With diesel going for $6.50 a gallon here (just went up again yesterday) and a 112 a day commute I need to conserve as much as I can. I drive the Rubicon once a week and use the diesel GC the rest of the time (the grand Cherokee gets over 34 mpg). I can only hope that fuel prices start to stabilize.

thanks for the feedback. I have 2.0 auto jlur with rock trac. off the lot it was getting 15.4 in New Jersey. As I drove at sea level it kept getting higher to about 19.3. Then it started to go back down. So avg. was probably 17 @ 70-80 mph. Some other warning popped up a few times "performance limited check fuel system". Im thinking stellantis is using refurbished chips or something

I donā€™t purchase my Wrangler for fuel economy, so I donā€™t even check on it.

Dove her off the lot for a 1,000 highway miles. Range is everywhere. Dont know why
2021 JLU80th with 2.0 (13,000+ miles) continues to amaze me on the highway. Recent trip from Long Island to Ithaca, NY using cruise control set to whatever the prevailing speed limit (55 or 65) was.

17-18mpg on the highway doing 70-80mph, about 15-16mpg around town. That includes my lift and 35s, even include the doors/top off. I can routinely get 17mpg or better during my daily 60 mile commute if I stay around 70mph.

I'm certain if I kept it like some (55-65) I'd be around 20 or so mpg. I just can't drive that slow.

Thanks. Itā€™s possible itā€™s a chip malfunction &they donā€™t have any to replace them so weā€™re all getting the runaround

Lifted Sahara, 35-inch tires, 4.88 gears: 13.7 MPG around town; 17 on the freeway below 70 MPH; 15.5 above 70 MPH.

Last week I drove my Fiat 124 Spider to Seattle and back; a 200-mile round trip. Used a whopping 5.5 gallons...! šŸ˜†

Regular gas is $5.30 around here. The Jeep is confined to trips to Trader Joeā€™s...

Same here !!!
I'm not even sure why Wrangler fuel economy is a point worth discussing.

Speed is definitely the killer for these JLU's.
I had a couple weeks here of just in-town, mostly freeway driving. Good traffic, cruise set at 60-70mph mostly.

This is two tanks worth of average, and the 22.0 was spot on with my own calcs.
Stock suspension and the remnants of the stock tires at 40k miles.
Top down for some - which really hurts the fuel economy.

Compared to my old TJ, this range is absolutely fantastic!

JLUXR here. 75 on the highway and I get 15.5-16 range. I do 80 and it drops like a rock to 12-13. 4.56 gears on 35s from the factory along with a brick shape. Weather affects it too. Windy day sucks for MPG
Glad i'm not the only one.

Picked up my ā€˜22 JLURD in North Carolina on Monday and drove it home to Ohio. 430 miles, mostly hills, freedom panels off and windows down the whole way. Final result = 29.1 mpg. :)

I actually get nominally better fuel mileage with the soft top (and windows) up and the A/C on, versus driving around with the top lowered and the A/C off. Said mileage even drops a pinch more if I replace the full doors with a set of tubular doors.

Such is the material effect of air flow on clean vs. "dirty" surfaces.

I'm noticing a bit of a hit going from the stock Rubicon plastic bumper to the steel Rubicon bumper in stubby configuration (ie. no end caps).
