How are the Rovos wheels holding up? I am looking at a set for my JLU Rubicon. Want a decent looking wheel that is hub centric that doesn’t break the bank as they will get rock rash. Will be going 35 or 37 with KO2 or MT Baja Boss AT.

So far so good no issues after a year plus. Can’t beat the price!

I’m also considering the Rovos Kalahari. Not sure if they’re the same you have, but they are 17X9 -6mm offset.
My question is, while I did see your pictures, how much does the tread area stick out of the fenders ????

I will be installing Rubicon fender flares next week which are 3/4 inch wider than sport/Sahara/Moab fenders, and wondering if they would cover most of the tread area that sticks out. I would hate buying these wheels and end up with tires throwing crap all over the Jeep or being pulled over for tires that stick out the fenders…. Tire wall is fine, but tread area not so much unless it’s very minimal.

Also, extreme terrain told me that these wheels weight 26 lbs, which seem pretty light for a 17X9 wheel. Did you weight them by any chance ??

Thanks and your Jeep looks great.

Yes they poke out quite a bit, but I feel that’s my tire choice mostly. Using the “eyeball method” I measure the tire 3.5” out, then the wheel to tire at 1.5, so about 2” out of the ww would be a safe bet for a stock fender (I dunno about the rubies).

my wheels and tires came mounted from ET so I can’t answer the last question, weighing the combo came to 98 lbs each (2x stock sport wheels).

Hope this helps!

The factory halogen headlights were terrible. So I shelled out the clams for the best (in my opinion) out there, KC.

The headlight kit was perfect, and threw a lot of light down the road, but it was the matching fog lights that rounded out the wide up close that made it perfect.

I also added the switchback led blinker bulbs to finish up the look.

I’m pretty happy how it’s turned out.

Keeping this up to date, installed the mopar CAI. So far, zero noticeable change in anything other than sound and looks.

The filter is the same shape as the original, but made from the screen/cotton material like I’ve seen from AFE.

Added the KC under hood lights, light output is outstanding and make working in the engine bay a breeze.
