I am IN LOVE with my JLU sport 6spd, I do have A/C though. There was no way my sheltered a$$ wasn’t going to get it.
I have manual locks and windows too but that’s not a big deal, I’ve only locked myself out once.

I do occasionally get jealous looking at my husbands JLUR but I’m happy with mine as it’s much better than my last mom car. :involve:

Veeery nice rig. Congrats. The A/C was standard on the Unlimited so you're forgiven for that but you shelled out big bucks on a hard top! :giggle:

Thank you, we got an excellent (pretty much unbeatable) price for this one and it was the only manual in the options we wanted so we had to take hard top. When a good soft top comes out I’ll probably get it and sell the hard top. With two JLs in the garage there isn’t room to store my hardtop so I’m missing out on topless fun.

Who's ordered one? Who's ordered or taken delivery of the most basest JL? Anyone ordered the ultimate purist version--a 2 door manual trans with no A/C?/QUOTE]
Manual trans with roll up windows, no AC, and.... push button ignition...

Guess FCA didn't want to waste money designing a key turn ignition for just one model.

Keep going back and forth between a JLU sport with auto and anti slip or JLU sport S with upgraded radio and premium soft top. I really wish they would just allow the premium soft top on the sport. I really want the JL with 6spd manual and premium soft top. but better half says get the 4 door.

I wish they would have. They designed crank windows for only one model, as opposed to several in the JK.

I don't like the complications. Hopefully none of them fail me.

Question: Sports do not have a factory alarm, and apparently no JLs have a steering lock.

Would a Sport be incredibly easy and inconspicuous for someone to steal, particularly with manual transmission?

I would say repo style theft would be comparatively easy. I've also heard of methods of Key duplicators that can mimic your key FOB code if they can get it from a scanner and what not. No vehicle is theft proof but they'd need the right equipment if they want to actually drive off in a JL.

Good news!

I did not betray the Base Model Club, and have finally placed my order.

2018 Wrangler JL Sport 2-door.

A spartan, simple Wrangler, where open air adventuring is the main attraction--not excessive gizmos. Like the offroading gods intended.

I have been in the tj base model club for a longtime. But I did order a Sport S unlimited with a few options. But I am keeping my Tj to. So I guess I am a half member. Lol

Congrats! The blue is a great color. I also got the limited slip with manual trans because for $595 it's well worth it but later heard it's required. Did you select the limited slip or were you forced to get it?

Congrats! Mine is probably going to look the same except in white and auto trans. Why didn't you go for the tinted windows? I heard there is no way to get them tinted after delivery.
