JL Window Sticker and Build Sheet Order Tracking

Guys I'd be lyin if I said I wasn't a little worried. Dealer sent me a pic of my baby, but she sure looks like Nacho instead of Hella to me. Thoughts?

I had the same concerns. Every picture I saw showed a different shade of yellow, and I was really really hoping that it wouldn't end up the color of the picture you received. It's not. It's very yellow. If I had to put 0-255 RGB numbers to it, "Rally Yellow" from chevy (corvettes and camaros are that color) would be 255 red, 255 green. Hellayella would be 255 red, 250 green. Nacho would be 255 red, 175 green.


Here's a long zoom crap picture of mine being washed at gupton I took while waiting, vs a picture of it in the shade on day 1 at home.

Finally made it to D1, though from all previous comments doesn't really mean much. Here is my timeline so far:

09/03/2021 - Dealer finally sent the VON. I had to really push them to get the information.

09/20/2021 - "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing the majority of the materials needed have been received. Check back in at the end of the week for a more accurate start time." - Jeep Chat

09/24/2021 - “Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly.” -Jeep Chat

09/27/2021 - “Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process and starting on the production line shortly. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided. I ordered a 2 door Willys and I'm in California too. Ordered 9/2 still in D status, watching your delivery to time mine. Where did you order from?

You can’t try if figure anything by some else’s progress. Someone on here in the same region of the country as me ordered the day before me, VINs are <500 apart. Both 2 door Willys, same color. Her’s has shipped mine is still gathering parts.

Look at the brightest whites, specifically the light posts in the background. The second picture has a lot less brightness than the CGI picture.

When I ordered my granite crystal metallic, I probably spent five hours worrying about the color before ordering. The builder tool on jeep.com is a high-ambient overexposed view, seemingly based on directly reflected light. For the clear coats, this means that the build tool pictures are all over-whitened. The granite on the tool practically looks like real-world-sting grey. I browsed around looking at random real pictures before I convinced myself of the color I wanted. The show & tell forums here are really useful for this as well.

Looks like that picture was taken in the early morning just after sunrise, or in the evening just before sunset. Probably just the light. At least you will have your Jeep soon. Many of us are still waiting.
