So Riddle me this…..
I have a Rubi ordered and Ive been researching 35s on a bone stock vehicle. I have found three things…
1) I installed 35s and they rub.
2) I installed 35s with no issues and no rubbing.
3) I installed 316/70/17s with no issues and no rubbing.
So for me the jury is still out on whether or not I can install 35s on a bone stock Rubi and not have any rubbing.
But it appears clear the the slightly smaller 315s can be installed with no issues and no rubbing. So far I have not found a single report of 315s rubbing.
Which has me convinced to go with 315s over actual 35s.
Now I see the new XR package, while advertised as 35s is actually running 315s which apparently dont rub.
So why the lift? For marketing only? And why only 1.5” when they already have a 2.0” on the shelf? Could it be just to keep the overall height of the Wrangler below a certain number?
