That's too bad, thanks for letting me know.Doesn’t apply to Rubicon
Good luck.... Hope you are ready to wait! My order was placed 12/5 and finished the build process on 1/11. Still waiting for it to ship due to the half doors. Over 5 weeks so far.Just ordered today. 3% under invoice no haggle no finance requirements and low doc fees. Pretty happy and would highly recommend Paul with Dwayne Lane out of Everett, WA.

Where did you see "2/29"?Your dealer says the estimated ship date is 2/29 when there is only 28 days in February this year as it’s not a leap year?
My dealer said 2-4 weeks.....let’s hope not!!!!!I'm in shipping status according to Jeep chat but no ETA was provided. Have my build sheet and window sticker, I wonder how long "shipping status" is?
Dealer informed me my JL arrived on Feb 19th so it took 5 weeks. Will pick it up in a few days.Ordered 15 Jan. Dealer emailed me today saying Jeep was built and now in paint process then off to body vendor.
Apparently I need to wear my glasses when I read.Where did you see "2/29"?
It is more than likely tracked, along with each step of the process as well ("my name is Bob and I pressed the button to tighten the lug nuts"), but it's very likely that the manufacturing steps are "on demand". It's possible (but I have zero inside knowledge) that they do literally have all the parts gathered and they are sitting in a crate in the "to build" section of the building, or maybe outside in a trailer. Parts can get "lost" in such a system, however, because if no one is walking by with a scanner routinely to establish their existence, they merely sit and wait for someone to decide to "start the build". This is the part of the process that we don't know about, namely when someone pushes the crate to the front of the line so it can get scanned for the first build step.I am wondering if Jeep “really” tracks the production or if they are just as surprised as us when a Jeep gets built! My dealer says he shows a 2/23 ship date for my order, and Jeep chat sees that as well, but, chat says my Jeep is in the “parts have been gathered” stage, so 2/23 does not seem very plausible. If only I was able to not obsess over getting the Jeep until I get the call it is here

Hi Brian,It is more than likely tracked, along with each step of the process as well ("my name is Bob and I pressed the button to tighten the lug nuts"), but it's very likely that the manufacturing steps are "on demand". This is the part of the process that we don't know about, namely when someone pushes the crate to the front of the line so it can get scanned for the first build step.
Another observation that older posts in this thread have commented that when "Jeep chat says ship 12/25", that seems to mean "the build will start on that date". That reported date does not appear to be the target date for it to be picked up by a train, nor loaded on the car, nor even the final QA after the after-market work.
For those stuck in "all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received", there's no real way to know when the build will start. When it does, it will go very fast. Mine was above the 90th percentile for delayed open orders, but between Friday and Monday it flipped to "vehicle has completed the build process and is pending quality inspections" or "pending installation of additional equipment". I'm always impressed that anyone catches these things "in paint", for example, but I suppose if it started very late in the day it's possible.
So then, let's take a look at the current overall status of things...
Clearly I can’t spell sane....lolHi Brian,
so first of all, let me say a big thank you for doing this. Putting these metrics together have kept me somewhat sain during this process. Super helpful.
Being a manufacturing guy, I echo many of your comments, and want to add that Jeep is probably batching orders with what orders they can produce with the parts that they’ve secured. I always wonder if there is a paint schedule as well, as this has to be one of the main drivers of batching production.
Again, many thanks!!!!!
