I am considering trading my 2020 JLUR in on a 2022 JTR - if that's the correct identifier. Are there any JT specific items I need to consider? The trade is being considered for increased towing capacity and cargo space.

We own both a JLUR and a JT mojave. To run the same trails without dragging the belly and rear end you'll need more lift and bigger tires on the JT. They are LONG by comparison. For the handling characteristics and ride, I wouldn't own a JT without the triangulated rear upper kit. That said, I do run washboards in the desert at speed regularly, and if you don't you may be happy with the stock geometry of the rear suspension.

That sounds like a question for the Gladiator forums. But be warned: they're even worse assholes than we are.
NO WAY!!!

The JT is a big gal. Like BIG. Personally I would just take less stuff in the Jeep and get a beater pickup for towing if you're doing any wheeling with it. Being used to wheeling a 2 door, my JT feels like it's 6 states long. The wheelbase needs its own zip code.

If you do get one - good sliders, good belly armor, probably low profile tail lights, and lots more lift and tire.

This was a short lived possibility. It'll either be the current rig or nothing at all. I was wanting to be able to tow a larger camper but I'll just go with a smaller lighter option.

I just went the other way; from a 2020 JTR to a 2026 Moab 392. I only did it because of the 392. I loved my Gladiator Rubicon and if they were *for sure* putting a 392 in the Gladiator, I wouldn't have gotten the Moab 392. I've owned 2 Wranglers before and am very familiar with the pros and cons of each. I miss the bed on the Gladiator, and will continue to do so. All other comments about off-roading above are very accurate. It's a tradeoff between two really good and fun vehicles. In the end, I love both vehicles, but I really wanted that 392!
