Well got the tires mounted and installed my daughter is super excited:

JL 2.0 AT, on the highway i see 8th gear and the Jeep does not struggle at all to find gears! A bit slow off the line but that's ok

35x12.5x17 Duratec's on Rubicon 4Xe wheels all 5
Rubicon Steel bumper
Rubicon rock rails
No lift
Had to install the Mopar spare tire relocation bracket + the hinge support just so i could open the door!

It does not rub when turning
It does rub when you are driving and hit a sink in the road the rear tires just scrapes but that's not a major issue right now!

absolutely love this thing i might do a T-Flex 1" spacer lift in the coming months....might just have my daughter drive my JT for a while longer while i do some testing :CWL:

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Nice, I'd go w/ a Rubicon spring lift vs a spacer lift though, cheap and you'll get more coil articulation, and the 2dr gets a decent lift w/ those Rubicon sets. Jeep's looking good btw!

hey thanks…read your write up about the JL suspension swap I might do that. Found a new set for 300 so might be a good option as I can just do it in my garage.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
If you take pics with the sun behind your back you'll probably get better light, less shadow, in the recesses (tire/fender area). I'm being critical, constructive, because we really can't see the tire to fender clearance. The pics don't really show the tires, and I'd like to see them.

I would suggest the small spacer or something. 35s here with the Teraflex 1” spacer ,mopar LCAs, and Falcon bump stops. no rubbing anywhere for me

I had the same exact thought . . . I was curious as well, so I tweaked it a bit 🤪

I followed Brad's thread and had no regrets at all. Super easy swap and made a world of difference on the trail and on the road. The only thing I did differently (I think) was I purchased a spring compressor from Harbor Freight, which helped me to get the springs off and on with a little more ease. Also, get the MOPAR extended LCA's for $80, even if you decide to keep the Jeep stock.

Good luck!

I love that 35" tire and no lift look, low center of gravity, less wind resistance, etc. The "right" way to wheel, haha.

Welcome to the club!

I ran my JL with 35s and no lift for a couple of months and then had a pretty gnarly rubbing experience while going over an old train track at 40 mph. Once that happened, i knew had to do something to get more clearance but I really liked the no lift stance.

I ended up purchasing a set of Bushwacker Hyperform Fenders which gave me about an extra 4 inches or so of clearance while still maintaining a mean stuffed stance.
