I’d say there’s about one inch of clearance as it sits. To each their own but I wouldn’t, unless you’re willing to use spacers there’s not a lot of room to go inward.18x7.5’s? Any room for more backspacing to go inward and clear suspension through articulation you think?
I figured but wanted to ask.I’d say there’s about one inch of clearance as it sits. To each their own but I wouldn’t, unless you’re willing to use spacers there’s not a lot of room to go inward.
How’s the ride and handling ? Assuming the tire is a 10 ply e rated?Yeah it's salty but I'm pretty excited! Had them installed yesterday, no lift, no rub and no closure panel removal. Just in time for all this snow too!
Not great, everything was fine with he exception of corners especially at higher speeds, it didn’t feel stable. I’ve since went to 35x12.5 Duratrac’s D rated and it’s so much better. How’s the ride and handling ? Assuming the tire is a 10 ply e rated?

That’s my issue right now, keeping the stock 18s and going to a 33 would make me have to get an E rated 10 ply which has some downsides. Did you keep the stock 18s? Any lift?
I wish the altitude came with 17s, I’m actually a fan of the stock wheel
Looks good. What wheels and backspacing did you go with? Any side pics to show how much the tires poke out?Went with aftermarket wheels and Duratrac’s. These tires are amazing! The pics before were stock height, these new pics are with the 35” and a 2.25” lift, used a Rubicon takeoff and Teraflex .50 leveling kit.
Go to this thread and see everything you need to know about wheel sizing, not sure how this thread hasn’t caught on around here with wheel fit being the number one question. Anyone that has installed larger tires and/or aftermarket wheels is encouraged to contribute: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jl-offset-backspacing-finally-answered.56988/Looks good.
