I like the JL, somewhat. The angle of the seats bottom part could be angled back a little mlre. The lumbar support is great, except when the seat is laid flat, to sleep, or nap. Then, the lumbar support just plain hurts.
Have you ever gone to a city park or somewhere where they have those horrid picnic tables made out of concrete? If you like those, then you'll love the JL seats.
I liked the TJ seats the best. They actually had some softness in them. I liked the JK series second best. The JL is okay for short runs, like to the mailbox, but other than that, I don't like them.
i've been in the tj seat that my brother had and they were comfortable. i sat in the 07 jk and they were hard but got comfortable towards the end of the jk production. the jl is by far the most comfort. when i test drove mine i was happy with the position and how it felt.
I think it's going to depend on your anatomy and fitness to some extent. My 2019 JLUS hurt my back a little initially (but I've never found a car lumbar support I liked.) Changed my adjustments and drove a few miles and seemed OK. About 3000 miles later and it's still good. I would suggest you take an extensive test drive and play with the seat and position to make sure you like it.
