I think this is confirmation that the vent is functional. If you look at the mesh grill on the vent, you can see some of the holes are actually holes

You're just looking at it from a styling standpoint. The bigger rear side window will give better lighting inside and also better visibility from inside. Also not having to unzip to remove the windows is a welcome change.

Zippers are challenging. I mean, I get confused - is it this way or that way? Oh man, wish it were velrco.

I had zippers in my 95. From what I see, the same function/overall concept of the soft top has been retained until 2017. I don't remember the zippers being hard. Maybe it is for colder climates?

Well, there goes the dashboard. A LEFTY designed it? Jesus H! Buttons will be in the wrong place, all the letters will be smeared. What were they thinking?

We should take all the left handed people and put them on Antarctica where they belong.

Zippers get old and crappy, velcro wears out eventually. The less those items are required the better I'd think.

Doesn't really matter because someone will just slash your soft top windows anyways to steal your loose change even though it takes 2 seconds to remove the windows.
