I'm not sure whats going on....when I go up hill it doesn't shift correctly and it sounds like its stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear. My JL was struggling going up the Colorado mountains. Any ideas? AUTO and in 2HI

Not sure if it applies here but my Benz transmission in my Challenger has an adaptive feature that "learns" your driving habits and automatically adjusts the shifting points. Maybe that's what's going on?

You can turn the gear indicator on in your display if you have that option.

On uphills mine likes to hold the gears and doesn't shift a lot when climbing. Not uncommon to be cruising at 4k RPM's but then it shifts when leveling out.

Disconnect battery to reset Trans control Module. Recal speedo if not previously done (using actual measured tire height).

Guys with Challengers do the reset frequently as the adaptive learning feature will constantly adapt to driving conditions such as stop and go city driving. After a while the performance gets sluggish as the shift points change to lower rpm over time.
