I'm seeing 2 different receivers listed in the Mopar parts online catalog...

- 68240905AA
- 68251844AB

Does anyone know the differences between these 2?

Looks like one has welded nuts on all 4 bolts, and the other has them on the inner two.

Mopar 68240905AA
Fits with Mopar Steel Bumpers and Molded 1-Piece Sport Bumpers

Mopar 68251844AB
Designed to fit with the step pad plastic bumper offered on Sahara, Rubicon and some special edition Wranglers, this hitch receiver installs with two of the bolts that are holding the bumper in place currently, plus an additional two of #06104246AA.

What harness are you using? Quadratec has a combo deal with their hitch and harness.
I haven't gotten that far yet. I wish Mopar just made a kit to add everything needed in one package. I bought my JLU Rubi off the lot and it didn't have the factory towing package.

I ordered the Mopar wiring kit for mine. There is also an excellent video from CJ Pony Parts on the install. So following along with the video, I popped off all the inner panels down the passenger side. Then I discovered that the Mopar kit was changed to run the cable underneath rather than through the interior... =/

Just a word of caution if you get one of those.

I looked at the instructions for it the other day and saw that, could have sworn I remembered seeing it run through the cab.

The harness I got was 82216359AA
Genuine Mopar Trailer Tow Wiring Harness - 82216359AA | All Mopar Parts

Pretty sure the receiver I got is the second one @GATORB8 mentioned as I had to buy two bolts from a dealership.

heh yep, I hate those pictogram instructions... so hard to follow. I was trying to figure out how I was supposed to push a fuse holder through a tiny hole in the grommet when I decided I better look at the instructions more seriously.

Looks like I can do the following:

- 82215209 (Mopar receiver kit) <--- just wondering if this works with the standard plastic Rubi rear bumper
- 82216359AA (Mopar wiring harness)

Is A1 they say to leave under hood the brake controller connection?

That is how I understood it and what I did. I did test out all the pins on both the 7way and the 4 way and they're live except the ones for the electric brakes. My guess is you'd have to poke that wire through the grommet on passenger side, extend it, and run power and ground too probably to an aftermarket brake controller.
