Hey, Ericccccc. Just curious, what dealership on the island did you lease from? I'm in the market and live in Suffolk County. Thanks.

As a point of reference, I took delivery on a JLU lease earlier this month.
53K MSRP
47K Selling price
71% residual
.00193 MF
36/12k
Dealer “Documentation Fee” of $700 which is typical in the DC area

Lease was with Chrysler Capital

FWIW, I agree with other comments; from a purely financial position, buying out a lease is usually more expensive due to higher interest charges, compared to buying outright. For me, it’s a risk analysis. What if the vehicle is in a bad wreck and the resale value takes a hit? I like having first dibs to buy my vehicles after the lease is over since I know they’ve been well maintained, etc. If the market value is higher and I can make money by buying and reselling, great... if not, I get to walk away from it.

Holy cow - I just got a quote on a Rubicon:

10k miles is $579 with $1500 down, 72% res, and 12k miles is $593 with $1500 down, 71% res.

MF = 0.00286 !!! Is that normal? or are they trying to rip me off?

I do have one. That'd be great! Thank you.

I saw your username on the edmunds forums too lol. all they say is "Standard MF" - MODS aren't really helpful for Wranglers....

Was quoted on two leases and a purchase today:

Sahara MSRP $49145/Selling $43796

36/12k $505 with $4k down includes taxes and dealer fees 66% residual
48/12k $459 with $4k down includes taxes and dealer fees 63% residual

Do these seem reasonable?

That looks better than my quote! Dang it. Looks like you did it with Chrysler Capital - mind if I ask your credit score? I am in the 780-800 range and STILL, they tried to rape me with that MF.

Check out “CULA” - google CULA lease. Residuals can be found there for most banks/CUs.

For MF, .00174 was a great number last month but is going up or already has - plan for something like the standard Chrysler .00196.
