Law Enforcement. The only job where everyone else knows how to do it better than you.
Yep. There is nothing pretty about a takedown. Sometimes it is violent, sometimes there is blood and sometimes the fight isn’t over just because the subject is down.

Videos like the one posted are effective training tools. Those screaming police brutality should remember that hindsight is always 20/20: there are no split second decisions to be made, the in the moment threat is gone and the situation has been deescalated. Video can be played back but thank goodness for body cameras.

The public gets to experience first hand the split second decisions an officer has to make in order to stop a threat, save lives and protect the public.

But outrunning a cop car that has been souped up - no no no no.

There is one other possibility, I suppose. Perhaps the Jeep driver’s wife ran off with a state trooper and he feared the officer was bringing her back. Just a thought...

People run for a reason. Have you ever chased down a suspect that was hell bent on getting away? From your post, that answer is no. Once you corner a suspect, they make bad choices that can have fatal consequences for all involved. If you need to get someone into a better position to see or control their hands, then you do so. If they don’t do it when asked, you do it for them. You and I have no idea what the suspect was saying or what they were giving orders to do.
This is where they need to add a BS button...

Hope he didn't have any back injury.........they used a bit of excess force yanking on his arm. Wasn't like he was trying to go anywhere.
I get that they were pumped up from the chase, but there were like 50 armed cops there against 1 dude who just rolled his jeep and was clearly out of it.
Pretty hard to argue it was required to use that much force to pull him out when he was trying to crawl out anyhow..

That was relatively gentle. He was controlled, handcuffed, searched, stood up and escorted to a patrol car. Not to mention he was wanted for aggravated battery and may be involved in two murders.
That's kind of the issue though, isn't it? That is was "relatively gentle" by police standards regardless of the fact that it was clearly not necessary.
But yeah.. he got off pretty easy relative to lots of others
Besides, as I understand it, being accused or wanted in connection for a crime/s does not automatically make one guilty of the crime and subject to any manor of abuse people may find deserved of one who committed such crimes.
Part of the whole innocent until proven guilty thing.
Yeah, running makes you stupid, but it doesnt make you guilty. Someones people just lose their shit and run.

If he has ongoing health issues and goes to jail, he'll get tax payer funded free medical care by the prison doctor if he doesn't sue.
To be fair.. It ain't exactly world class health care in the prison system. I've only known a couple guys who did long stints, but seems about what you'd expect to get in Mexico.
