Hello everyone, LOVESICK

My JLU Overland. She arrived yesterday.
She said yes, I said OF COURSE.
Love at first sight. Short wedding ceremony. We gonna get our license plates in a few days. My garage is waiting for my love now.
Full Overland Trim Package.
Cheers from the very north west coast of Spain.

Ey! Gracias!

Sure I will do it.
My previous Jeep was a 2.0 multijet II 120HP Diesel 4wd Renegade. I was very happy with this combination, engine and model.
Great torque at low rpm. Smooth ride. Awesome performance.
2.2L diesel seems to be a fantastic choice for the JLU...200HP! I will keep you inform with my first impressions !

I don’t like diesels, but hey, that’s just me...
They are very good but I just don’t like the noice, the vibrations,... but we don’t get the 3.6L V6 over here and the 2.0L will sound like a diesel too with that turbo I think... we’ll see.

Nice Jeep Santi!

Euro Jeep, did you test drive the Stelvio? The petrol engine will be most likely almost the same. I really liked it.

I have in fact, and also driven a similar setup from Mercedes but with a 2.5L 4cyl turbo and yes they fly!
But the sound is a bit weird, ... like a diesel. Now, I know the Alfa Romeo Guilia Veloce with the same Stelvio and JL engine have some cool aftermarket exhaust improving the sound of the engine. So there is good hope.
The good thing of not having the E-Torque in Europe (though it has many benefits) is it is one less thing to worry about... no battery pack that may loose properties after 6 years or more (expensive). And the Jeep will be lighter, plus have extra space below for those who want an extra fuel tank, water tank or can even consider a gas (LPG or CNG) tank conversion (very good with direct injection engines!).

I am very impatient to test one!
The only things I am worried about are:
-overall fuel consumption
-turbo lag. The ZF automatic transmission should help.
-direct injection carbon build up.I believe this engine does not have a combined direct and indirect injection to avoid that like for example Toyota (please correct me if I am wrong). Yet another reason to go to gas conversion, besides being cheaper, better for the engine and the environment.
-overheating problems
-how will the engine deal with poor quality fuel if I get to overland Africa...dreaming!

Some are now just pre-assumptions and I will just have to find out... time will tell.

Looking forward to see her without the wedding dress ;) what color is it?
Hahaha.
If she takes out her wedding plastic dress she wears on the hood, I guess it is all Granite Crystal !

Rubi love:involve:

Did the Mojito Rubi have the red dash and did you happen to notice manufacturer and size for the mud tyres?
