JL headlights on

I'm not sure if we have seen this before but this was spotted in downtown Chicago and shows the new JL headlights turned on.

I'm hoping that's just publicity thing. Since the headlight shape is so iconic, perhaps FCA is driving it around to spur interest? I don't mind the growing LED DRL trend, but these just look like aftermarket Ebay halo's....

Maybe DRLs on the fender for the rubi/sara's and halo's on the sport or vice/versa... I dunno?

Lol sad but true. There was once or twice I could not tell if my lights were on at night.

So why haven't you guys simply dropped Hellas into your JKs?

I remember hoping last year they would put LED corona rings / angel eyes around the timeless round headlight shape. Glad it happened !

Because Im cheap LOL ... If buying a headlight upgrade I would want the HIDs or LEDs (LEDs are a PIA due to the flicker and the HIDs are like $350) so I just dont do anything LOL

I have Sylvania Ultras in the Cottage Wrangler and Phillips in the daily driver, both are noticeably better than stock, and provide a whiter light.

H4 replacements, Name Brand LEDs and HIDs are all better but ROI for both time and money is good for even just the bulb swap.

The annoying thing is LEDs are limited if you deal with lotsa snow/slush/sleet and TruckLites are the only proven one I'd trust. So the heat of an incandescent or HID is good for snow.

Waiting on the JL to consider the next upgrade, the replacements are 'OK' for now.
