It’s great and worth it... I do wish the gave a more realistic timeline. Was told 3 months but was closer to 7 months... Anyways it’s awesome.

They are sending me an L shaped bracket needed for the light bar. When that comes the 50” light bar will be installed.

lovin the lines on it.

That rack, like on the JK, can be angled back to open, say, a soft top, correct?

A part of me would love to design a feature for it that, even with heavy gear loaded (and secured) on top, would allow the owner to lift the rack with hydraulics to open a hard or soft top, and then lower it, not much differently than this flat bed tow truck tips it bed to load a towed vehicle..

Good luck!

Am I right in assuming you can’t fold down your windshield with this?
I don’t think so. On the photo it looks like the rail goes right over the A-Pillar and that’s where the windshield frame is. And I assume you can’t take off the roof panels up front???

Man at first I was against the GOBI Systems because I just felt they weren't streamlined. But that actually looks really nice. I wish the front RACK was not straight up and down to the windshield and instead just followed the windshield angle back all the way.

From what I have read, the windshield is supposed to still be able to fold.

But looking at it, it doesn’t look like it.

You can still remove the front freedom panels.

You may feel this way for aesthetics Ruben (or not) and that's certainly fine with me. But Bob- OP @OUTDOORTREE , I thought this product ships with a wind deflector?

Does it and you just opted to not install it? Or is the deflector extra, or not available?

Do you actually find yourself folding the windshield frequently? Really?

This is my question as well.
Yes. Enough that I wouldn’t want to hinder that option. Glare plus a little Oregon mud and you can’t see a damn thing. Had a ‘74 FJ40, folded the windshield down all the time. TJ, also folded it down almost every off-road trip.

I also bring the top up and down way too often for this setup.

Some or all of these solutions, particularly as it relates to your top you may know, the 2 - 4 being mine around opening the soft top, and the 5th around never having to get out of the rig to open the top (shameless plug.)

I agree with you @word302 that a Wrangler rack that gets in the way of a Wrangler top is a buzz kill, hence my post above about an add on for the Gobi https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jl-gobi-rack-finally-arrived.18365/#post-447437
