JL Freedom Top Panels - Do yours open by themselves

My freedom panels backside latches always loosen.

At first I thought is was my kids and I have been yelling at my kids for months to stop touching them. BUT its not them.

Anyone else have this issue (not the kids) and how did you fix it? ( seems to happen with pot hole events)

I find the latches on the 2019 are definitely looser than the ones on my 2015. But they haven't opened on their own... yet.

Mine are just the opposite, super tight. I imagine they can pretty easily be tightened down or loosened at the handle

Just noticed the passenger side back latch was in the open position by itself today, went to latch it and I think the latch stop broke lol. I swear its always something.:facepalm:

There’s a bracket on the roll bar that they latch to. Adjust it so they get a tighter grip.

Don't the latches themselves have torx screws in them you can tighten?

Mine have never budged and top have never leaked and I have them on/off all summer long
