As i can see after after checking out this site more I’m not the only one with this issue but i now have bigger issues and i don’t really know where to turn. So i have a 2020 rubicon 2 door. I had the typical corrosion that I’m seeing most have. I had it on both my doors, hood, tailgate, and all of my Hinges. I took it to the dealership in July of 2021. My dealership doesn’t have a body shop so the out sourced it to a local body shop. I was dealing with the dealership for almost a year before the work was actually done. I went through multiple service managers being fired at the dealership. And had to start the process over. So it finally goes to get painted and i get it back to a horrendous paint job. Literally half of my door a different shade, things not painted, things broken, fisheyes, dry spots, tailgate not properly put back on, dirt, runs. It was aweful. So i complained and said it needed fixed. So it went back to said body shop they said they were gonna paint my fenders and quarters as well to make it match…. I get it back and it’s worse. Still has dry spots, swirls all through the paint, still doesn’t match, tailgate still isn’t on correctly. It’s just an overall mess. Oh and i still have corrosion on my door! They put some touch up paint over it. After being pointed out to them after the first time it was still left there. My boyfriend paints for a living. But he can’t do warranty work so that’s why he didn’t do it in the first place and the dealership and body shop knew this going in. So i decided i was just gonna eat it and have him fix it but the more i thought about it the more pissed off i got and thought no. This isn’t my problem and he isn’t doing this for free. So i contacted Jeep to see if they would help me. They literally have done nothing besides tell me that it is a workmanship issue and they can’t do anything at all. I’ve contacted multiple body shops to look at it and even after my boyfriend looked at it, the entire Jeep needs repainted for it to be done correctly. (I only took it to other body shops because i want a 3rd party opinion). My big issue here is i don’t know who to really fight about it. I would think the body shop because it’s their work that is bad. (Which the body shop has told me they are done with it and it’s not their problem) (also they aren’t touching it again regardless my boyfriend will be the only one to paint it again, but he isn’t doing it for free) I’ve been told the dealership because they outsourced it. And I’ve been told to go after Jeep since they are producing the Jeeps with the known problem. And i truly understand everyones point. But I’m at a loss here. Can anyone help me? I do have a lawyer that i can get involved if need be. I’m thinking I’m to that point. But idk. Someone else told me to lemon law it (idk if it even qualifies for that). I just don’t know where to turn at this point. This is as short as i could make the long story as well ? as you can see I’m at my wits end with all of this. Anyone else go through this mess? ?

Just a suggestion. Format what you wrote. It's a massive paragraph and thus the response rate will be low because very few will read it.
I’m not sure how to shorten it ? without leaving out important details

As what's said above. Paragraphs are key. Thus the formatting, not the length. I have done lots of technical writing over the years and big long non stop paragraphs, will turn off the reader and they will go elsewhere. We all have a short attention span.

I think TikTok has damaged my attention span. I saw the title "corrosion." I then saw a lot of words and thought "I bet he has a corrosion issue." .............Scroll

That paragraph's gonna win a guiness book record!

I actually feel your pain since I'm in a similar but less severe dilemma with the paint on my 2019 Rubicon. 3 repairs made on mine has left me with exactly the same paint bubbling at the hinges and Clear coat peeling on my hood. The hood is clearly a paint shop failure.

Guess what happened when I took it back to both the body shop and dealership two months ago? Zip. Was promised a call back with the next step from the manager of the dealership. Body shop acts like they never heard of me or my Jeep.

Why oh why is it so hard to get any action from those supposedly in charge? These are actual managers and not just a smiling face of a receptionist.

Anyway, to answer your question, I have no idea what it really takes to get a fire lit under their asses to take responsibility and do the jobs they are being paid to do.

I would literally stand out in front of the building with a sign asking about the above if I had the time and money.

I hope you find a solution. Good luck!

Can't tell you..shhh
You can try reaching out to @JeepCares but I don't know if they can help you. I went to two different dealers to get mine fixed and I also had to send it back to the body shop for additional work.

The good thing is, I had a decent dealer who was almost as pissed as I was that the Jeep had to go back to the body shop. I had corrosion on all 4 doors and the hood. Got it back and the body shop had only fixed 2 of the doors so the dealer took it back to them.

I’ve already contacted Jeep. They don’t care. They tell me that it isn’t their problem. I’ve been denied speaking to a manger and I’ve been hung up on when asked for a manager.

Getting FCA involved and opening a case is the only way the dealership will take you serious. Your case worker will have to do the talking to get the ball rolling. You will have to find a dealership that is willing to co operate with you and your issue.
