As i can see after after checking out this site more I’m not the only one with this issue but i now have bigger issues and i don’t really know where to turn. So i have a 2020 rubicon 2 door. I had the typical corrosion that I’m seeing most have. I had it on both my doors, hood, tailgate, and all of my Hinges. I took it to the dealership in July of 2021. My dealership doesn’t have a body shop so the out sourced it to a local body shop. I was dealing with the dealership for almost a year before the work was actually done. I went through multiple service managers being fired at the dealership. And had to start the process over. So it finally goes to get painted and i get it back to a horrendous paint job. Literally half of my door a different shade, things not painted, things broken, fisheyes, dry spots, tailgate not properly put back on, dirt, runs. It was aweful. So i complained and said it needed fixed. So it went back to said body shop they said they were gonna paint my fenders and quarters as well to make it match…. I get it back and it’s worse. Still has dry spots, swirls all through the paint, still doesn’t match, tailgate still isn’t on correctly. It’s just an overall mess. Oh and i still have corrosion on my door! They put some touch up paint over it. After being pointed out to them after the first time it was still left there. My boyfriend paints for a living. But he can’t do warranty work so that’s why he didn’t do it in the first place and the dealership and body shop knew this going in. So i decided i was just gonna eat it and have him fix it but the more i thought about it the more pissed off i got and thought no. This isn’t my problem and he isn’t doing this for free. So i contacted Jeep to see if they would help me. They literally have done nothing besides tell me that it is a workmanship issue and they can’t do anything at all. I’ve contacted multiple body shops to look at it and even after my boyfriend looked at it, the entire Jeep needs repainted for it to be done correctly. (I only took it to other body shops because i want a 3rd party opinion). My big issue here is i don’t know who to really fight about it. I would think the body shop because it’s their work that is bad. (Which the body shop has told me they are done with it and it’s not their problem) (also they aren’t touching it again regardless my boyfriend will be the only one to paint it again, but he isn’t doing it for free) I’ve been told the dealership because they outsourced it. And I’ve been told to go after Jeep since they are producing the Jeeps with the known problem. And i truly understand everyones point. But I’m at a loss here. Can anyone help me? I do have a lawyer that i can get involved if need be. I’m thinking I’m to that point. But idk. Someone else told me to lemon law it (idk if it even qualifies for that). I just don’t know where to turn at this point. This is as short as i could make the long story as well ? as you can see I’m at my wits end with all of this. Anyone else go through this mess? ?
