Looks like it is grounding the orange/violet wire through SQ997, I don’t know what that is, maybe a resistor, maybe just a ground.

The softop is always “topless” so there is no change in the audio level.

Not exactly, but it seems like a silly 'feature' for the hard tops.

Nope ...there was a millisecond when jumping the two pins where it went lower then resumed to the original sound. I was so hoping it was gonna work, cuz it did on my JK
