Looking for a subwoofer option that does not take up a lot of space. I have two quotes... JL audio 10” stealthbox (300 watt) w/ compact alpine amp (600 watt) $1139 installed or compact alpine 8” subwoofer/amp combo (120 watt) $583 installed.

Is the stealthbox worth the extra money and is pricing fair? Thank you

JL Audio stealth sub is the way to go if the money is there. I plan to do the same thing.

I did this JL micro sub/amp combo. It’s awesome, sounds great, removable, and you can grab them off of OfferUp, letgo, Craigslist, Neighborhood, etc for a couple hundred dollars cheaper then retail. The 10” version I bought retails for around $550 and I paid $300. Rockford also has a P300 that I almost went with that has a built in amp for around $200. Good thing about the JL combo is that it has a built in LOC with the DCD technology. The box also is super small and doesn’t take up any space. I also changed out my smaller speakers in the sound bar and top dash with the kickers everyone is using. I dropped $550-$600 total and it sounds awesome. Way better then stock. Hits harder then the alpine by a mile and the hi’s are loud, but the alpine has better midrange.
